Colt Pre-Ban AR-15 Model SP1 Semi-Auto Rifle

Serial# 183744, .223 caliber. 20" barrel plus the birdcage flash suppressor, fine, bright bore. This is an earlier rifle with a bayonet lug, A-1 sight and set forward assist. 98% metal finish, excellent black synthetic stocks with a trap in the butt. One Colt marked 20 round magazine and a used military nylon sling are included.

Serial# 42232, .30-06 caliber. 22" barrel, fair but pitted bore. Manufactured 1924. This carbine retains approximately 30% barrel blue with some scattered patches of light pitting. The receiver is mostly a gray/brown with light scattered pinprick pitting. The lever and magazine still retain about 30% blue with the balance being a brown/gray mix. The gumwood buttstock, forearm and upper handguard grade about good showing signs of an old refinish and numerous marks from saddle and field use. This features the standard tangent rear and pinned blade front sights. The carbine buttplate has a trapdoor for a cleaning kit.

Serial# 462721, .38-55 caliber. 20" barrel, the bore with strong rifling and light pitting. Manufactured 1908. This retains approximately 95% barrel and tube blue and about 20% receiver blue with the balance being mostly a smooth silver/gray. The gumwood stock and forearm grade about very good with signs of an old sanding and marks from field use. This features the correct ladder type adjustable for height rear and pinned blade front sights. The forend retaining band is missing the screw.

Serial# 90405, .30-40 Krag caliber (.30 Army). 22" barrel, about good bore with light pitting. Manufactured 1915. This 95 is an overall dark blue/ brown patina with some gray showing on the high edges. This has scattered light pinprick pitting throughout. The sights are the standard military tangent rear and pinned front. The smooth walnut buttstock has a 1" x 1/4" chip out on the right side top near the tang and a small thin 1 1/4" crack just above the trigger. The buttstock, forearm, and upper handguard have numerous marks from field use. This has a standard carbine steel buttplate with a trapdoor for a cleaning kit.

Serial# 97122, .30-40 Krag caliber. 30" barrel, bright, fine bore. This has the first style model 1896 rear sight. The stock has an excellent "JLA/1898" inspector's cartouche and a fine circled "P" firing proof. The dark receiver case colors are now a mottled gray, the magazine cover is gray with scattered faint pitting and the fire blue on the extractor is thinning and mixing with plum. The exposed portion of the barrel retains about 75% blue with about 90% blue on the front band. The stock has relatively few small bruises and dings with very good edges and most of the finish remaining. A very good "Rock Island Arsenal" marked, "1914" dated leather sling is mounted. {Ref., Flayd: 9A-413}

Dated "1889" on the frame and buttstock, marked on the buttstock "No. 7109". This is believed to be chambered for the .43 Special Remington cartridge, have your gunsmith verify. 27" round barrel, excellent, bright bore. This is a two band carbine, not the more common three band rifle. 95% blue and stock finish, excellent arsenal markings on both with normal storage bruises on the wood. The rear sight bar needs a small screw to secure it to the leaf. An original bright steel cleaning rod is included.

Serial# 7106189, .30-06 caliber. 24" barrel, as new bore. This rifle is as new using a new receiver by "ADL AUSTRALIA" (Lithgow), a new barrel and a new walnut stock. All other parts are Mil-Spec U.S. GI. This features the standard adjustable rear and protected blade front sights. This has a limited production of 10,000 in 2002.

Serial# T16139, .22 Short, Long or Long Rifle caliber. 24" round barrel, excellent Micro-Groove bore. Only 500 of these were made in 1960, this one is numbered "No. 336" on the top tang. The rifle has a gold plated trigger with all of the other metal, except the sights, are brightly chrome plated. The pistol gripped stocks have select grain walnut with cut checkering and a relied carved squirrel on the right side of the buttstock. The rifle appears to be unused, the buttstock is missing the small "bull's-eye" inlay on the belly and has three small age checks in the fancy grain that could easily be filled in. the head of the takedown screw has a small patch of bright metal where the plating peeled off, and the left side of the frame has a couple of small rub marks, otherwise the metal finish is like new.
