Winchester Model 94 Buffalo Bill Lever Action Rifle/ Carbine Set

Serial #'s WC 537/ WC 538, .30-30 caliber. 20" octagonal carbine barrel/ 26" octagonal rifle barrel, as new bores. Manufactured 1968. Both rifle and carbine are as new in the original boxes and are housed in the original shipping carton. Both receivers have light scroll engraving on the right side and "BUFFALO BILL" with scroll engraving around that on the left. Both have nice nickel-plated loading gates, hammers, triggers, forend tips, saddle rings, and buttplates. Both top tangs are marked "W.F. CODY/ CHIEF OF SCOUTS". Both have nicely figured walnut forends and buttstocks with an inlayed medallion with "Colonel William F. Cody" and "BUFFALO BILL" and his profile "1846-1917". Both feature open rear with elevator and dovetail bead blade front sights.

Serial #'s 71675/ 71674, .30-30 caliber. 20" octagonal carbine barrel/ 26" octagonal rifle barrel, as new bores. Manufactured 1967. Both rifle and carbine are as new in the original boxes with hang tangs, and papers and are in the original shipping carton. They features open rear with elevator and dovetail bead blade front sights. Both sides of both receivers have maple leaf and vine engraving. The right flat near the rear sights are marked "CANADIAN CENTENNIAL 1867-1967". The top tangs are also marked "CANADIAN CENTENNIAL '67". Both have smooth walnut plain grain buttstocks and forend.

Serial# 19842, .50 caliber. 21 5/8" part round/ part octagonal barrel, the bore with strong rifling, scattered fine pitting and a couple of small patches of light corrosion. The stocks have two very good inspector's cartouches, "AJN" and "JM". The metal has a mottled dark patina with traces of blue on the barrel and topstrap, even fine pitting on the buttplate and barrel band with only minor scattered fine pitting elsewhere. The stocks have some added oil, have not been sanded, and show normal light handling marks. {Ref., Flayd: 9B-085}

Serial# 987278, .44-40 caliber. 20" round barrel, bright, near excellent bore with sharp rifling, full magazine. The barrel has factory sights with a post front and an adjustable folding leaf carbine rear. The walnut stocks have a straight grip and a carbine buttplate. The frame has about 20% blue with the balance gray patina, the barrel and magazine have over 50% blue mixing with plum. The stock has light scratches and dings on a good looking old refinish.

Serial# 89744, .45-70 caliber. 32 5/8" barrel, the bore with strong rifling and scattered light pitting. This has the narrow receiver, a low arch breechblock marked "U.S./ MODEL/ 1873", square corners at the breechblock hinge area, and the fourth type 1879 rear sight. The stock has a legible "ESA/ 1877" inspector's cartouche and very good circled "P" firing proof. Most of the blue has turned plum and has light oxidation with no significant pitting. The stock has two large Company letters "E" stamped on the rear of the comb and retains 80% original finish with normal light scratches and small bruises. An original "ROCK ISLAND/ ARSENAL" marked leather sling in very good condition, an original cleaning rod and a "U.S" marked socket bayonet with 70% blue are included. {Ref., Flayd: 9A-369}

Serial# 1102, 7.62 x 39mm caliber. 16 1/4" barrel, excellent bore. This is among the earliest AK-47 imports and has relatively few markings with GSAD MANH./ BEA., CA" on the receiver, and a faint roll marking on the barrel "NORINCO 7.62mm CHINA". The rifle has reddish brown finished hardwood stocks, a cleaning rod and folding spike bayonet, a threaded muzzle, a canvas sling, and a cleaning kit in the buttstock. 99% blue, 97% stock finish, no magazine.

Serial# 140002, .44-40 caliber. 24 1/4" octagonal barrel, the bore with good rifling and light pitting, full magazine. The barrel has a Marble's bead front sight and an elevator adjustable factory rear sight with the blade altered to a flat top. The straight gripped walnut stocks have a crescent buttplate. The frame has about 25% blue mixing with patina and has a little scattered pinprick pitting, the barrel and magazine have about 20% blue blending with plum. The stocks have normal light handling marks on an old refinish that shows light wear. This is a nice old Winchester that in artificial light looks like it has a lot more blue. Made in 1896.

Serial# 5020, .45 A.C.P. caliber. 16 1/2" barrel, excellent bore. This carbine is about new retaining approximately 99% factory black finish. This features an original, fully adjustable Lyman rear sight, properly marked on the spring bar and blade front sight mounted on the compensator. The smooth walnut buttstock, pistol grip and vertical fore grip all look as new. This is a nice early West Hurley, N.Y. semi-auto. Included is a 39 round drum magazine and one 30 round stick magazine.
